You've Heard of Switch Hitters

So, how about a "switch pitcher?" Creighton University in Omaha has a reliever who is the only ambidextrous pitcher in Division I college baseball. His name is Pat Venditte, and he throws with his left hand to left-handed batters, and when a right-handed batter steps to the plate, well, you get the idea.

So far this year, Venditte (who's a middle relief specialist) has a 3.29 earned run average, and yes, he's capable of striking out batters with either hand.

No kidding.

Wow, I can't even write with both hands. That is impressive.

Straight out of Omaha! I got Offutt in 1996 and never got off it! Creighton is a great school and if I could afford it, I'd get my Masters from there. The only downside to the school is the indecisiveness of their coaches...

I thought that lefties pitched to righties... and vice versa.
