Two NBC affiliates, one in Little Rock, the other in Terre Haute, Indiana have announced that they will not carry the network's controversial series, "The Book of Daniel," which premieres Friday night.
If you've missed the promos, "Daniel" is supposed to be an edgy new series about an Episcopalian Priest who happens to be addicted to pain killers. His wife is an alcoholic; is daughter is a drug dealer and his 23-year-old son is a Log Cabin Republican. Just your typical Christian family.
Regrettably, the decision to pre-empt "Daniel" in Little Rock and Terre Haute seems based more on network-affiliate relations than on the show's content. But, it's a start.
