Credit Where Credit's Due

The WaPo gets it right on the House's vote to get the troops out of Iraq through pork-barrel politics. If the Democrats are serious about a withdrawal, let that proposal stand on its own merits; don't wrap it in a Christmas-in-March giveaway package that promises something for everyone, as long as you also support the cut-and-run provision.

Hat tip: Powerline.

It appears to me that the Democrats plan to continue to produce legislation that is no passable by the Senate or be signed by the President in order to cut off funding without really cutting off funding. They can say they voted continued funding knowing full well that what they produced legislation that could not be implemented. It's called passive aggressive and nobody can be held accountable for directly voting against funding the troops.

Despicable.
