IAF may be aware of subtle, exploitable vulnerabilities determined by other intel. This would enhance surprise and a strike before final payment to Moscow would also stir the pot.Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15390468013273738737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10820485.post-39831544447148631242009-01-28T23:56:00.000-05:002009-01-28T23:56:00.000-05:00Mrs. Davis--I agree with you re the victory over H...Mrs. Davis--

I agree with you re the victory over Hamas, though you'll never get anyone in the MSM to admit it.

With Hamas, Israel played it carefully, and this time the Air Force and ground troops were in synch.

The fact that the IDF took out at least one tunnel (yesterday?) on the Egypt side is also a good sign. Mubarak dare not do much more than make idle noises. At least for the moment.

I thought Hezbollah would take up where Hamas left off, but they haven't. I wonder what gives there?Lord knows they're well supplied and ready to go...

...the elections in Israel can't come too soon for me.Dymphnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11332644582520636279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10820485.post-80581625049060052222009-01-28T10:07:00.000-05:002009-01-28T10:07:00.000-05:00The USA leaving Israel to the wolves again is not ...The USA leaving Israel to the wolves again is not a surprise...

Iran today is the wolf and once again the Jews is left to his own fate...

How does it make me feel?

Validated for my years of warning...

I dont think Israel will roll over and die so that the world community can sit in high fashion and toast themselves how "peace" was attained simply by exterminating the Jew..

I and others like myself will not line up to march into the camps again. What is "Occupation"https://www.blogger.com/profile/08237879055691019968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10820485.post-57951417928060274022009-01-28T08:30:00.000-05:002009-01-28T08:30:00.000-05:00Probably the most important event regarding Israel...Probably the most important event regarding Israel's decision to attack has been their tremendous victory over Hamas.

Israel did a better job militarily against Hamas than against Hezhballah. This has to bolster the morale of the IDF and the confidence of the political leadership.

More importantly, Israel, by my perception, trounced Hamas in the media war. Hamas propaganda seems to have fallen flatter faster than any Arab effort in recent memory. And Arab condemnation of Israel seemed pro forma with little enthusiasm or comradely sincerity. Israel could have kept going longer had it seen military utility. This is a sign that they are getting the Arab green light to pounce on the Persians.

Now it is up to the Israeli people. They will have a chance to elect a government that will seize the bull by the horns or one that may confront reality when no alternative is available. Let's pray they chose well.Mrs. Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00264792783926606972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10820485.post-7320980140759896462009-01-28T07:17:00.000-05:002009-01-28T07:17:00.000-05:00I agree too. My impression is that Kadema has been swatting mosquitoes - poorly in 2006, more effectively in the recent action, but it's the swamp needs draining.lgudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12774491337993415578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10820485.post-72373867250377466382009-01-28T02:16:00.000-05:002009-01-28T02:16:00.000-05:00do you think factoring in the other ME entities, a...do you think factoring in the other ME entities, and their fear of Iran's instability, will have any effect on slowing or stopping Iran as the clock moves?

Do the other Muslim states have any leverage at all in Tehran or are they simply hopiing Israel will do the dirty work, thus giving them the chance to stomp on Israel for its great evil in attacking Iran?

I fear the only "sigh of relief" will be jubilation that they are now free to pound Israel out of existence.

If the other powers in the area haven't the brains or cojones (and I think they lack both, which is not to deny a gift of cunning) to stop Iran, and America is a useful idiot in this drama, does Israel really have anything left to lose in an offensive move?

Seems like Israel's options are all lose-lose so why not take out what they can before they are atomized themselves?

Besides, it's obvious that anti-semitism is on a worldwide roll. It is snowballing with nothing to act as a brake.

Easter, huh? It's enough to make one weep.Dymphnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11332644582520636279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10820485.post-53482370027050991902009-01-28T01:03:00.000-05:002009-01-28T01:03:00.000-05:00I agree with your assessment. There is no doubt th...I agree with your assessment. There is no doubt that the IAF along with Israeli Special Forces will have to strike and do it by themselves, probably around or just past Easter. The Obama administration in just a little over a week has shown that it does not take the threat of the jihadist seriously, and will offer zero help to the Israeli armed forces.
There is no way that Tel Aviv will allow Iran to go nuclear, doing so would doom the Middle East to the horror of a nuclear exchange. If attacked by nuclear weapons the Israeli armed forces would be forced to reply in kind.
One thing is when they do take the program out there will be collective sighs of relief in many Arab capitals and I’m sure that the current government in Iran will fall to an uprising of the people, their silent majority.billmillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01935148113752374830noreply@blogger.com
