For some reason Jerusalem Post decided not to publish my talkback comment, so here it is. Magazine "Necenzurirano" is a complete joke. They publish all kinds of fabrications. Here in Croatia nobody believes in their stories. Actually, more respected Croatian newspapers have revealed last August that Croatia transfered all of its S-300 systems to U.S. That happened in 2004. Furthermore, Croatia is soon to become a NATO member. Selling weapons to Iran is certainly not an option.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03326274710695361787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10820485.post-40330633090925160482008-09-14T21:51:00.000-04:002008-09-14T21:51:00.000-04:00Remains interesting to see, if Iran does ever rece...Remains interesting to see, if Iran does ever receive the S-300 air defence system, first of all how many batteries will Russia or one of the former states sell to our Persian friends. The number of batteries will impact where Iran decides to deploy the systems around their sizable country. Tehran and the nuclear facilities seem obvious locations but I am interested to see if they have the bollocks to deploy a battery to the Straits. Second, as we all know, the label "S-300" can stand for a variety of systems including different variants of the SA-10 and SA-20. Would find it interesting to know if Russia is willing to send the full compliment of S-300 PMU-2 (SA-20) equipment to Iran.

Enough soapboxing for now...I say bring it on...about time someone gets to target the impressive but certainly vulnerable S-300.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16209204413098663579noreply@blogger.com
