As a Canadian I believe very strongly in the Responsibility to Protect protocol envisaged by diplomats in my government many years ago and first put into force to great effect just last year in Libya.<br /><br />As far as I'm concerned the UN, having just used R2P has now been left with Syrian blood on its hands as civilians are murdered indiscriminately.<br /><br />I do not believe in war making but I do believe in protection and principle and I have said as much to my Conservative Party MP (who I would never ever vote for) James Lunney who is extremely pro-Israel.<br /><br />His rhetoric is the same... "It's Iran" "They're supplying Hezbollah" "Russian ships are off Syria".<br /><br />It's all BS.
